Liberia Training Center Renovations:

We are steadily working on finishing the renovations for our training center.

  • Funds are set aside and ready to start the roof replacement once the fence is completed
  • Fencing in the property is currently being worked on
  • Solutions for diverting the water shed have been implemented
  • Bunk bed construction is finished
  • The kitchen is finished
  • We have completed the urine diverting, composting toilets and bathing rooms
  • We have 115 garden beds (5' x 20') growing food

What remains to be done:

  • The water well needs fixing and a pump installed - $2200

You can see these details and more by visiting our Liberia Training Center Renovations page. That is also where you would make a donation. Thank you!

Writing Training Center Curriculum of 60 Classes

I am busy working on writing the curriculum for our training center. Once I complete the outlines, I will make PowerPoints for each lesson. Then I will need to make the physical handouts which will be interesting as 60% of their students can't read or write. I am hoping to make very illustrative handouts. Please keep me in prayer to complete this task on time. But... this is my favorite thing to do. I LOVE it!

Projects underway from our November 2023 missions trip:

We traveled there last November to implement natural low-cost solutions for growing in the dry season. We stopped the erosion by diverting water runoff to where we wanted to capture the water. We dug ditches, made swales and berms, dug cisterns, and started plans for catching water from every roof line. These projects need to be proved out so that once we start having students staying on the property, we have a proven model to teach for their climate's challenges.

Liberia Bible College Gardening Course - Ongoing

The local Assemblies of God College has invited our training center to come in and teach their students the first full week of each semester. Our main curriculum is a 4 week course. So each semester they get one of those four weeks. Currently there are 21 students enrolled. Once these students graduate and begin congregations of their own, they will also be able to start garden projects within their communities. This program only costs us $200 per semester to run! What an incredible impact... Visit the Liberia Bible College Gardening Training page to donate. Thank you!

Mentoring Single Moms Mary & Alice from Kenya - June 2023 through June 2024

There are single moms that are struggling and then there are single moms that are suffering. Mary and Alice are suffering.

We had to develop a plan for lasting change. A single time donation would not change their situation. We implemented the following one year plan:

  • Pay for their children to be in school for one year
  • Pay for food until they find employment
  • Buy initial necessities like mattresses, blankets, and kitchenware
  • Mentor them on finding employment
  • Mentor them on managing money once employed

To accomplish the above only costed $750 per person! And those fund have already been raised!

The challenge now is helping them to find work. Mary only completed school through the 7th grade and Alice can't read or write. They have not been able to find someone to hire them yet. We are planning to send Alice to Thrive for Good Agricultural training. With this she can become a trainer, implement school programs, grow food to sell, etc. Her training will cost $350 plus transportation. For Mary we have found a ministry willing to train her in Tailoring and Cosmetology. While her training is free, we would like to give a donation to that African ministry and I know they need it too. Mary would require $12.50/week for transportation costs during her training.

For more details and to donate, please visit the Single Moms Mentoring Program page. Thank you!

Filming & Editing Correct Grains Consumption Online Course - Goal for Completion early spring of 2024

This project is underway! 8 Chapters and 38 Lessons... Considering all of the other projects we are currently working on, I hope to have this uploaded and ready for students by the end of December. My prayer is that these online courses will be life changing for the attendee while also supplying financial revenue.

Sharon - Should Be Completed in March 2024

Sharon is Vallary's daughter. You can read about their stories on our Single Moms Mentoring Program page. Sharon is currently enrolled in Nursing School. She is expected to graduate in March of 2024. Once she completes her studies and finds employment, she should be ready to help her mom in mentoring others. Thank you to everyone who has been helping with this project. Their entire family linage has changed!

Stephen - Ongoing

Stephen is the Permiculture Director at Thrive for Good. He is wealth of knowledge! I consider him one of my main mentors. He works in a location that is four hours from his home. He has a wife, many children, and some grandchildren. Stephen also organized and facilitates a Sabbath keeping fellowship in his home village. He lives in a remote village that is still living an off grid traditional lifestyle. One that I admire! We are so thankful that we have found a sponsor for Stephen, to cover his transportation costs home each weekend. Thank you to that sponsor!
